engineering company contracted to renovate a wastewater treatment facility.<br \/>\nAt the facility, once the <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">rainwater storage basin<\/span> was drained, staff had to clean the basin walls by hand\u2014an intensive and time-consuming task.<br \/>\nTo reduce this burden and automate the work, the engineering company began designing a cleaning system using spray nozzles.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dry-fog.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/03\/nozzle-environ-006-image_01.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"820\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6304\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">The rainwater storage basin was 4 meters wide and 40 meters long.<br \/>\nThe company planned a layout in which a water supply pipe was installed along the center of its longitudinal axis, with spray nozzles mounted at regular intervals on the pipe.<br \/>\nTwo nozzles were arranged back-to-back at each mounting position to spray toward both sidewalls, enabling both sides to be cleaned simultaneously.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">However, the selection of spray nozzles presented a challenge.<br \/>\nThey initially considered full cone spray nozzles from another supplier.<br \/>\nWhile the vertical coverage was sufficient, the horizontal spray width was narrow, raising concerns about uncleaned areas.<br \/>\nTo cover the entire surface, they would have needed to reduce the nozzle pitch and add more nozzles.\n<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dry-fog.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/03\/nozzle-environ-006-image_02.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"820\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6304\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">Because the total available water supply could not be increased, <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">adding more nozzles would have reduced the spray volume per nozzle below the specified level<\/span>.<br \/>\nTo address this, the company consulted IKEUCHI, seeking spray nozzles that could cover the entire wall surface without increasing the nozzle count.<\/p>\n<div disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">IKEUCHI proposed the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dry-fog.com\/en\/products\/noz-hyd-ddrp\/\" style=\"color: #00a273\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">DDRP<\/a> Series, featuring an ultra-thick flat spray pattern with a near-<span style=\"font-weight:bold\">rectangular coverage area<\/span>.<br \/>\nCompared with a full cone spray nozzle, DDRP provides a <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">wider spray width in the horizontal direction<\/span> at the same flow rate, enabling full wall coverage without narrowing the installation pitch.<br \/>\nIn addition, its <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">strong spray impact<\/span> helps wash away adhered contaminants reliably.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dry-fog.com\/jp\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/03\/nozzle-environ-006-image_03.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"820\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6304\" \/><\/p>\n<p the need to reduce nozzle spacing or increase the nozzle count<\/span>.<\/li>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:0.8rem\">\n<li>As a result, the overall system installation cost was kept within the initial budget.<\/li>\n<div style=\"margin-bottom:0.8rem\">\n<li>This allowed the system to meet the required flow rate without exceeding the available water-supply capacity.<\/li>\n<\/div>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img
