style=\"font-weight:bold\">What is a fiber drum?<\/span><br \/>\nA fiber drum is essentially a paper drum. It is lightweight, easy to handle and recycle, cost-effective, and can be manufactured in a wide range of sizes. It is used mainly to transport powders in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries.\n<\/p>\n<p><!-- \u753b\u50cf\u3000\u2605\u753b\u50cfURL\u3092\u201d\u3053\u3053\u306bURL\"\u306e\u4f4d\u7f6e\u306b\u5165\u308c\u308b\u3002\u901a\u5e38\u306f820\u306e\u307b\u3046&gt;--><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dry-fog.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/03\/hum-paper-002-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"820\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6304\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">The production process has two main stages: <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">winding paper<\/span> to form drum bodies, and then <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">folding the ends of the drum bodies<\/span> inward to attach and crimp the lids and bottom plates.<br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight:bold\">When the drum bodies dried out, cracking occurred<\/span> during processing, especially during the folding step. Because paper is highly sensitive to temperature and humidity, environmental control on the production floor had long been a major challenge.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dry-fog.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/03\/hum-paper-002-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"820\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6304\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">Since the plant\u2019s production flow depended on having enough drum bodies ready for the next process, it needed to keep a sufficient number on hand. However, when the drum bodies were wound the previous day, they dried out overnight and cracked during folding the next morning. As a result, <span style=\"font-weight:bold\">winding operators had to arrive as early as 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. <\/span>so both processes could be carried out on the same day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">The plant tried measures such as leaving spot coolers and heaters running overnight and sprinkling water on the floor, but none proved effective.<br \/>\nWhen cracking occurred, the plant had to conduct 100% inspections and sometimes stop the line to rewind the drum bodies, leading to significant losses.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dry-fog.com\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2026\/03\/hum-paper-002-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"820\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-6304\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"list-style-type: disc;margin-left:1.2rem;font-size: 1rem;line-height:1.6rem\">When the plant relocated, the new facility made it possible to maintain a more enclosed production environment.
