H. IKEUCHI & CO., LTD. was founded in 1954 by Hiroshi Ikeuchi, who currently serves as the honorary chairman, as an export trading company. With great pride, Ikeuchi aimed to export only machinery and equipment developed in Japan, but at that time, the textile industry dominated, and there were limited items originating from Japan, mostly related to the production of artificial silk rayon. Among the handled items was a ceramic spinneret.<\/p>\n

The traditional spinnerets were made of an alloy of gold and platinum that could withstand both strong acid and strong alkali, so they were requisitioned by the army during the war. This caused great difficulty for the spinning companies, who bet their fortunes on developing glass or porcelain spinnerets as substitutes. Just before the end of the war, porcelain spinnerets were developed. However, after the war, with the start of nylon imports from the United States, rayon gradually declined. Ten years later, Ikeuchi handled porcelain spinnerets because they were domestically produced during the decline of rayon. However, as the times changed, rayon production disappeared, and along with it, porcelain spinnerets also disappeared from the market.<\/p>\n

However, determined not to let the exceptional technology of these porcelain spinnerets vanish, Ikeuchi, after much painstaking effort, became the first in the world to succeed in manufacturing ceramic spray nozzles. In 1961, he established a small factory in his hometown of Kure City, Hiroshima, Japan. At that time, agricultural pesticides were primarily lime Bordeaux mixture, which quickly wore out the spray nozzles. Thus, the new, highly wear-resistant ceramic nozzles were enthusiastically welcomed by leading pesticide sprayer manufacturers.<\/p>\n

Leveraging this breakthrough, IKEUCHI introduced the world’s first spray nozzles with ceramic tips, also featuring precision guarantees. Subsequently, the range expanded to include various metal and plastic nozzles. As a result, IKEUCHI’s products have gone beyond agriculture to contribute widely across numerous industries globally, including steelmaking, automotive, transportation vehicles, electronics, paper, printing, textiles, food, greenhouse agriculture, fisheries, livestock farming, energy generation, healthcare, welfare, landscaping, pollution control, and many more.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n
