Improving workplace safety and work efficiency, and boosting productivity while maintaining product quality with AKIMist® "E" Dry Fog Humidification System
Benefits AKIMist® "E" Dry Fog Humidification System Provides
Before installation:
- Frequent electrostatic discharge, even causing sparks, badly disturbed work efficiency although operators wore antistatic clothings or ESD wrist straps.
- Ionizers worked only for local neutralization where they were mounted, and they could not remove static charge on the workplace not so effectively as to solve ESD related problems.
- Poor work efficiency due to toppling or jumping of products at a stacking section due to static charge.
- A lot of work for 100% inspeciton when contamination by foreign particle attraction, which static electricity buildup on products surfaces caused, were detected.
After installation:
- Controlled humidity at 55 +/- 5% in the workplace prevented static charge from building up there and improved the work efficiency.
- Humidification eliminated the risk of the ignition not by removing static charge but by preventing static electricity from arising
- No longer unnecessary jobs such as restacking of the product at the stacking section.
- Humidification surpressed the foreign particle attraction to the products by reducing static electricity buildup.

Dry Fog that AKIMist® "E" produces is an ultra-fine fog with a uniform, mean droplet diameter of 10 μm or less.
One unit of AKIMist® "E" can produce maximum 14.4 L/hour (3.8 GPH) of Dry Fog at air pressure 0.5 MPa (73 psi).
Energy-saving humidification system
Compared with steam humidification systems, direct spray humidification that lowers room temperature by 2 degrees C helps reduce cooling load on air-conditioners and CO2 emission.

Why Is Dry Fog Non-Wetting?
Dry Fog that AKIMist® "E" produces is an ultra-fine fog with a mean droplet diameter of 10 μm or less, which doesn't wet the objects it touches.
Small droplets rebound from an object, but large droplets burst and wet the object. Dry Fog droplets are so fine that they do not burst or wet the objects it touches.
