How Mist Technology Protects Against Heat Stress and Dust | Newsletter Vol. 25

Isn’t summer getting hotter every year?
In Japan, record-breaking temperatures over 35°C have become a familiar part of summer—even 40 °C in some areas!

⚾ Delivering Cool Comfort to Baseball Fans
Belluna Dome, home of Japan’s professional baseball team the Saitama Seibu Lions, is a unique semi-open stadium with a roof but no walls behind the stands.
Our Semi-Dry Fog system now runs around the concourse, providing a refreshing cooling breeze for fans—without getting them wet.

The nozzles used here are PINJet:

They deliver a dense, dynamic fog that transforms spaces with its dramatic haze.
With a Sauter mean droplet diameter of just 15 μm, they provide cooling comfort in a “sea of clouds”.

🐎 Zero Summer Fatigue for Racehorses in Hokkaido

Even Hokkaido, Japan’s northernmost prefecture and once known as “cool,” now often sees 30 °C days in July and August—a real problem for young racehorses in training and rest.

“Just a 2–3 °C drop made all the difference.”
Mr. Minori Yamaguchi, President of Philipp Farm, shared his experience with our CoolPescon system.

“It was a dramatic change. The horses ate well, their coats got shinier, and they stayed sharp during training. We didn’t have a single case of heat stress after installing the mist cooling system.”

🌍 Tackling Dust Where Conventional Measures Fall Short

Mist technology isn’t just for cooling—it’s also a powerful tool for dust suppression.

In steelworks, water sprinkling, dust nets, and dust collectors have reduced airborne dust. Yet during tapping—especially during taphole drilling—dust control has remained a challenge.
How can our nozzles prevent dust from erupting and spreading—without wetting nearby floors or equipment?

From baseball stadiums to horse stables and steel plants, our mist systems are making environments safer, healthier, and more comfortable.
