Paper Industry: Humidity Control & Stable Operation Solutions | Newsletter Vol. 33

“Paper is highly sensitive to temperature and humidity. It behaves almost like a living thing,” one of our customers said.
Paper expands, shrinks, cracks, and warps depending on its environment.
In many manufacturing settings, that sensitivity directly affects product quality and productivity.

Humidity Control in Fiber Drum Manufacturing

In this featured case, a fiber drum manufacturer struggled with cracking caused by dry conditions during the folding process. Preparing drum bodies the day before became difficult, requiring early-morning work, 100% inspection, and rewinding.

The plant reviewed humidity control across the production floor and introduced a Dry Fog humidification system. An on-site demo revealed humidification performance beyond expectations and helped support the decision to move forward.

So what changed after implementation?
