Flat Spray Nozzles (with Self-cleaning Function)

MOMOJet

Hydraulic spray nozzles with a mountain-shaped spray distribution, featuring a self-cleaning mechanism.
When the spray pressure drops to 0.03 MPa, the nozzle tip opens widely, flushing out foreign particles that have accumulated inside the nozzle.

Materials: Click here for full material descriptions, including chemical and heat resistance.

Caution for Use:
- To start spraying, a flow rate of about 9 L/min at 0.02–0.03 MPa is required for all models. Make sure to select an appropriate pump.
- MOMOJet is designed to start spraying when the pressure is greater than 0.1 MPa. Use MOMOJet at a pressure of 0.2 MPa or higher.
- Since MOMOJet series nozzles have moving nozzle tips, the spray capacity is only guaranteed within +/-10% and the spray angle within +/-10゚ at standard pressure.

Resources for Download

• Flat spray pattern with a mountain-shaped spray distribution having gradually tapered edges.

• If clogged, by reducing the pressure to 0.03 MPa, the nozzle tip is retracted and purges foreign particles. By increasing the pressure to 0.2 MPa and greater, normal spraying is restored.

• Straight-through orifice is suitable for multiple nozzle arrangement.

Applications

  • Cleaning: Papermaking (wire, felt parts and rollers), steel plates, PCB
  • Cooling: Steel plates
  • Foam breaking: Waste water treatment
  • Others: Applications where recirculated water is being used

Industries where this nozzle is used

  • Steelmaking
  • Paper & Pulp
  • Printing
  • Automotives

Structure

  • By changing the liquid pressure, a built-in spring moves the split nozzle tip up and own and opens the orifice for purging.
  • Nozzle tips are made by metal injection molding.
