New Products: Pulse Spraying Nozzles SD-VV and SD-V Series

IKEUCHI has developed and launched the “SD-VV” and “SD-V” series of pulse spraying nozzles that enable instantaneous intermittent spraying through solenoid activation.

These nozzles, with a flat spray pattern, are controlled by the on and off of an electrical signal. They are specifically designed for applications that require precise spraying onto objects passing on a conveyor while saving the fluid used.

Features of Pulse Spraying Nozzles “SD-VV” and “SD-V” Series

A pulse spraying nozzle is a type of nozzle that uses the ON/OFF switch of an electrical signal for spray control. Turning the electrical signal ON and OFF generate a magnetic field in the solenoid coil, causing the magnetized movable iron core to move. This mechanism allows control of the spray ON/OFF.

Ikeuchi’s spray nozzles, the “SD-VV” and “SD-V” series, feature the ability to adjust the spray amount while maintaining the spray pattern and droplet size when the control pulse is varied. Additionally, controlling the spray right before its nozzle orifice allows these nozzles to achieve highly responsive and delicate spraying.

Specifications of “SD-VV” and “SD-V” Series

The new SD-VV and SD-V series feature instantaneous intermittent spraying with a minimum spray unit of 0.05 seconds, achieving a small spray amount of 0.17cc per shot. Due to minimal splattering during spraying, they are suitable for small-amount applications such as oil or chemical coatings and marking purposes. They are designed with an IP67 (dustproof and waterproof) structure. The nozzle tips are replaceable, allowing for adjustments in flow rate and angle.

The SD-VV uses materials that comply with the Food Sanitation Act in the parts that come into contact with liquids, while the SD-V features a ceramic nozzle orifice, offering excellent chemical resistance and wear resistance.

Related Products: SETO-SD Series

As related products in our lineup, the SETO-SD series of pneumatic pulse spraying nozzles are also available. By using compressed air, they enable an even lower spray amount. For instantaneous intermittent spraying with a minimum spray unit of 0.02 seconds, they achieve extremely small-amount applications of 0.006cc per shot. This makes them ideal for applications such as applying release agents.
