Before: High Pressure Nozzle
After: AKIMist®E
Numerix was having issues with their previous high pressure humidification system and John Brooks recommended Ikeuchi’s system as a solution. Numerix reported these specific issues they were facing:
- The high-pressure humidification system consisted of 45 nozzles in the press room and operated at 1000 psi and the total flow varied around 95 LPH.
- This system was not reliable, the pump & filtration system needed repairs often and could break at any moment; especially when higher humidity levels were needed.
- The nozzles would drip, block, and wet surroundings (Can be observed in Before Image).
- Large amounts of water being sprayed.
- Humidity level could not reach higher than 30%.
- Filtration systems became overloaded when faced with a higher demand for water.
Humidification is necessary in print facilities for not only productivity, but safety measures as well. A faulty system can pose as a great threat and at Ikeuchi, we have a precision guarantee to ensure smooth operation. A couple months after installation, Numerix reports these results:
- Numerix has had only positive experiences with the new system.
- Overall, more efficient. With just 28 nozzles (AE-4 x7) between two rooms, no more than 60 LPH is used and their required humidity of 35% is maintained.
- AKIMist®E is practically maintenance free compared to the previous high pressure pump system.
- Less water usage = less failures & less maintenance in reverse osmosis filtration system.
